Hi there, and welcome!
Thank you so much for visiting my website. My name is Gail McLay and I am a qualified and experienced CBT therapist. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space to work through any difficulties or challenges that you may be facing.

I work using a client-focussed approach, tailoring sessions to your needs. Drawing on elements of CBT, compassion-focussed therapy, mindfulness, breathwork and wellbeing principles, our sessions are designed to suit you as an individual.
My Story
After many years working in international education, the Covid-19 pandemic and the arrival of my children gave me the opportunity to change my career path and focus on my goal of becoming a therapist, coach and wellbeing consultant.

I am a qualified psychotherapist having graduated from a post-graduate diploma in CBT from The Glasgow Cognitive Therapy Centre.
My experience is varied and includes working for the NHS, in occupational health, school settings and further education. I have worked with clients with many different presenting problems ranging from anxiety and low mood, to PTSD, OCD and ADHD.

I have also developed experience working with young people in further education, supporting them with their wellbeing and the many challenges that they may be facing.
As a registered teacher, I am passionate about education and have led group work courses in Anxiety and Stress Management and Mindfulness, as well as a Kindness and Mindfulness club for primary school aged children.
I am a registered member of the BACP and committed to working in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework. I'm fully insured and hold a valid Disclosure Scotland check for working with vulnerable adults, and children/young people.
